15,000 words in and a possible POV change.

Great.

Shortly after I broke 15k on my rewrite, I started to get this nagging feeling that, maybe, I should try changing the point of view from 3rd person to 1st person. Normally, I hate writing and reading in 1st person, so I tried to kick this idea out of my head. But it didn't work, and as a result, I picked up where I had left off, and I am now following the main character in 1st person until either 1) the novel is finished or 2) I get sick of it and go back to 3rd person again.

I just love rewrites.

Cover prototype #2.

So here is a second cover that I finished tonight (or rather, very late this morning).

This one was a pain in the ass to do.

My photo editor crashed three times while I was in the middle of working on it. The first time, I hadn't saved anything, and I almost gave up. Second time, I'd saved just in time, and the third time, I'd lost a little work.

So what should have been a 45 minute - 1 hour project turned into a 3 hour project. My brain is very tired.

Anyhoo, I hit just over 9k during the second chapter today, so it's coming along well. I'll try and post an excerpt and synopsis tomorrow, for those of you who don't already know what the story is about.

Now I'm going to go ice my wrist and go to sleep.

Cover Prototype, ya'll.

Hello all! I wanted to present you with a little gift, and that being this prototype for a cover that I created last night, rather than writing. But not to fret, I had a good output day yesterday, so this was my reward for all of my hard work of eating sushi and drinking coffee. And...and writing.

The Opening is coming along quite nicely, being sure to be extra difficult in all of the right places, just like a woman. I'm far passing the word count that I had hoped to reach, and I'm progressing at a much better rate than I had anticipated. (And of course, I'll go back to writing later, just watch, and my computer will explode.)

Anyway, hopefully soon I'll be able to have a brief plot synopsis or tears or something for you guys to read, so make sure to stay posted, and I'll keep you posted.
